Great Harwood residents were shaken this evening as fire crews tackled a blaze at a domestic property on Greenhill.
Two fire engines, from Hyndburn and Great Harwood, rushed to the scene at 17:10 following reports of a fire involving a door.
Firefighters swiftly took action, employing a door ram to gain access and a positive pressure ventilation unit to clear the smoke and extinguish the flames.
During the incident, one individual required medical attention and was treated at the scene using a trauma bag and oxygen therapy.
The casualty was subsequently handed over to the North West Ambulance Service for further care.
The incident drew a significant response, with fire crews remaining on scene for two hours and twenty-five minutes to ensure the area was safe.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
