Man treated for cuts to head and face Following Serious Assault in Preston Pub

A man in his 60s has been hospitalized with head and facial injuries following a serious assault at Hogarths pub on Church Street, Preston.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 pm on Monday, March 3rd, prompting a rapid response from police and ambulance services.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering from cuts. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

“We were called at about 5.20pm yesterday (Monday, March 3) to reports of an assault at a pub on Church Street in Preston,” a police spokesperson confirmed.

“Officers attended and a man in his 60s was treated at hospital for cuts to the head and face. An investigation is underway.” The force added.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was present in Hogarths pub at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the altercation.

“We are urging anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting log 1008 of March 3rd,” the police spokesperson added.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the assault. Updates will be provided as they become available.
