BMW lands on its roof after smashing through garden wall in Grimsargh

Efforts are ongoing to locate the driver of the BMW who fled the scene

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision in Grimsargh on Friday night.

The collision happened on Ribblesdale Drive, whereby a BMW  collided with a garden wall of a residential property at the corner of Longridge road, leaving it demolished before landing on its roof.

The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived, say Lancashire Police.

An investigation is now underway, and efforts to locate the driver are ongoing. Confirm the force.

No injuries have been reported, and the vehicle caused damage to a wall, which on impact sent bricks strewn across the road. Local residents pulled together and cleaned the mess left behind, following the collision to prevent the cause of another accident.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:

“We were called to Ribblesdale Drive, Grimsargh, at 9.50pm yesterday (28th February) following reports a BMW car had collided with a garden wall and overturned onto its roof.

The occupants of the BMW had left the scene before officers arrived. Work is ongoing to locate the driver.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to call 101, quoting log 1428 of 28th February 2025.”
