A man was found inside a vehicle with multiple stab wounds in the early hours of Saturday morning
Police are investigating after a man suffered serious injuries in an assault in the Almondbury area of Huddersfield.
At 4:51am this morning (Saturday, 1 March) a man was found in a vehicle on Almondbury Bank, Almondbury, with multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital where he is described as being in a stable condition.
Officers had previously attended at the scene a short time before this incident to a report of a concern for safety and taken a female to a place of safety.
Detective Inspector Sarah Bradley said: “We are treating this incident as attempt murder and as a targeted attack. We have a scene in place and have significant enquiries ongoing to ensure the person or persons responsible are arrested and brought to justice.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we would like to speak to anyone who has witnessed any part of this incident or seen anyone behaving suspiciously in the vicinity.”
