Ribble Valley road closure due to road traffic collision

The road is expected to be closed for a short time whilst they make the area safe

Emergency services are currently dealing with a road traffic collision this morning on the A59 Worston.

A closure has been put in place, and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said on social media:

“We want to update you and let you know that A59, Worston at the junction of Worston Road is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.

We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time, whilst we clear the road.

In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.

We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening, and we’ll update you here once the road is open. As always, thank you for your patience and stay safe if you’re out and about today.”
