Firefighters spent over an hour extinguishing the fire
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a fire involving a van that had spread to an attached garage at a domestic property on Tuesday.
The fire happened on Poppyfields shortly before 1pm. Firefighters from across South Ribble were dispatched to the blaze using two hose reel and wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said:
“At 12:54 on 25th February 2025, three fire engines from Leyland, Penwortham, and Tarleton attended an incident on Poppyfields in Hesketh Bank.
The fire involved a van that had spread to the attached garage of a domestic property.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
