Man bailed after being arrested in Ormskirk town centre on suspicion of drug offences

A search at his address uncovered a quantity of snap bags, cannabis and mobile phones

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the weekend in Ormskirk town centre on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said:

“We want to tell you about an arrest made over the weekend in Ormskirk town centre!

Whilst our officers were out patrolling the town centre in the early hours of the morning, one male was stop searched under Sec. 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

This resulted in him being arrested on suspicion of possession with Intent to Supply.

A section 18 search was conducted on his home address in Ormskirk, and quantities of snap bags, cannabis, and mobile phones were found and seized.

The 23 year old male has been bailed whilst we make further enquiries.

We will make continuous efforts to keep drugs off the streets and take action against offenders.”
