Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes
A major town centre road is closed following a road traffic collision in East Lancashire.
The accident happened on Market Street in Colne and the road has been closed between Market Place and Dockray Street whilst emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists are being advised to find an alternative route.
Local residents posting on social media report a bus has crashed into the side of the Greggs building.
All three emergency services are currently on scene. It is currently unknown if any passengers were on board the bus or if any casualties have been reported.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“Please be aware that Market St, Colne is currently closed between the junctions of Market Place and Dockray Street due to a Road Traffic Collision.
Please find an alternative route where possible.”
