A 27-year-old remained in custody on Friday for questioning
An appeal has been made after a man suffered minor injuries following the collision on Friday morning in the Stoneycroft area of the city
In an appeal made on Friday, Merseyside Police said:
“We have arrested a man following a road traffic collision in Stoneycroft this morning, Friday 21 February.
Just before 9am it was reported that a white BMW car was in a collision on Queens Drive, close to Alder Road.
Emergency services attended, and a man sustained what is believed to be minor injuries. He was taken to hospital to be checked as a precaution.
A 27-year-old man from Eastham has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and dangerous driving. He is in police custody to be questioned.
Roads were closed while the incident was dealt with and have now reopened.
We are appealing for witnesses, and for any CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation.
