The death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is underway
Emergency services were called to Plungington Road shortly before 6:30am on Friday morning to reports of a man being found unresponsive on a bench.
Sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Forensics examination has been carried out at the scene with a white tent etected early Friday morning.
A cordon remains in place around the area that is at the junction of Aquaduct Street.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We were called to Plungington Road, Preston, at 6.17am today to reports a man had been found unresponsive on a public bench.
Emergency services attended and confirmed the man was sadly deceased. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
The man’s death is being treated as unexplained.”
