Search continues for young woman who hasn’t been seen for two days

Extensive searches are being carried out to locate Jenny who left home on Tuesday afternoon but didn’t return

Police are continue their appeal and search for a woman who hasn’t been seen for two days.

In a continued appeal made today, Durham Constabulary said:

“We are renewing our appeal for information to help find missing Jenny Hall who has not been heard from since leaving her home in Tow Law just after 3pm on Tuesday (February 18).

Officers located Jenny’s red Ford Focus which had been found parked on the B6278, between Egglestone and Stanhope yesterday.

An extensive search is taking place in the area, using specially-trained police teams and expert mountain rescue search teams, backed with air support, including HM Coastguard.

Jenny is a keen long-distance runner and police are additionally carrying out a wider search in the Teesdale area.

Police are also grateful for assistance from the Rurali community group, who are assisting in the search for the 23-year-old.

We would like to thank the public for their continuing support in the search. Anyone who believes they may have seen Jenny or has any relevant information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999.

Jenny is described as white, 6ft tall and has very long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with a John Deere logo and dark jogging bottoms.

A dedicated Family Liaison Officer is also working with Jenny’s family.”
