Woman in stable condition in hospital following Dinmore Avenue house Fire

The cause of the fire is now underway investigation confirm Lancashire Police

A woman in her 50s has been rushed to hospital following a fire at a domestic property in Blackpool on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called before 11am to Dinmore Avenue to reports of a fire at a flat.

Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service dispatched three fire engines to the incident alongside Lancashire Police and the Northwest Ambulance Service, a Major Trauma Doctors response car also attended.

A woman in her 50s was transported to hospital by road, and her condition has been described as stable.

A spokesperson for the Lancashire Police  said:

“We were called at just after 10.20am today by the fire service to a report of a house fire on Dinmore Avenue in Blackpool.

A woman in her 50s was taken by ambulance to hospital where she remains in a stable condition.”

A spokesperson for the Lancadhire Fire & Rescue Service said:

“At 10.09am, three fire engines from Blackpool and Bispham attended a fire on Dinmore Avenue, Blackpool.

Crews used one hose reel, four breathing apparatus, and one positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for approximately an hour and forty minutes.”
