An appeal had been launched following an alleged attempted robbery of an elderly woman at Preston Bus Station earlier this week.

The incident is alleged to have taken place back in December and left the victim in her 70s with some injuries.

In an appeal made earlier, Preston Police said:

“Do you recognise the individuals in the CCTV images?

We want to speak to them about an attempted robbery at Preston Bus Station.

The victim, a woman in her 70s, suffered injuries to her neck and arm. Thankfully they were not serious.

The offence happened on 7th December 2024 and though time has elapsed since the offence happened, we want to reassure you that we have been doing everything in our power to identify the three individuals in the images. Sadly, those enquiries have not proved to be successful and that is why we are now asking for your help.”

If you know who they are email 624@lancashire.police.uk or call 101. Quote log 0547 of 7th December 2024.”

In an updated posted on Tuesday, Preston Police said:

“Yesterday we asked for your help identifying three individuals we would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Preston.

The people pictured have now been identified, and will be spoken to in due course.

Thanks to all who assisted with the appeal.”
