Police Hunt suspect with large neb and gappy teeth after two women spat at in York

Two 19-year-old women were allegedly spat at by the man in York City Centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward in identifying a suspect they would like to talk to in relation to two women allegedly being spat at.

In an appeal made today, North Yorkshire Police said:

“We are appealing for information regarding an assault that took place in York.

The incident occurred at 9.15pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025, on a bridge between Foss Island and Palmer/Carmelite Street.

An unknown suspect spat at two 19-year-old female victims.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build and light or short/bald hair. He is also described as having a Yorkshire accent, a large nose, gappy/bad teeth and a distinctive swaying walk.

He was wearing a grey puffer jacket, black joggers, and black trainers.
