Major Delays M6 Southbound between Sandbach and Stoke-on-Trent due to crash

Major delays of upto forty-minutes expected following crash involving multiple vehicles

Emergency services are currently dealing with a crash involving multiple vehicles this morning on the M6 Motorway.

The collision happened between Junction 17 for Sandbach and Junction 16 for Stoke-on-Trent on the southbound carriageway.

Major delays on approach with upto forty-minutes expected as we head into rush hour traffic.

A spokesperson for National Highways said on X:

“Following a multiple vehicle collision, lanes 3 and 4 of (4) are closed on the M6 southbound between J17 (Sandbach) and J16 (Stoke-on-Trent).

TrafficOfficers are working at the scene with recovery arranged and en route. There are delays of up to 40 minutes on the approach.”
