A juvenile has been arrested and remains in custody following the incident confirm Avon & Somerset Police
Emergency services rushed to an incident at a Costco in Bristol on Monday evening.
A multi-agency response attended the incident involving a home-made chilli spray confirm Police.
In a statement released today, Avon & Somerset Police said:
“Ambulance crews have treated 10 people for the effects of a home-made “chilli spray” following an incident at Costco in Avonmouth, Bristol.
Crews did not need to take anyone to hospital and the spray contained no strong acid or alkaline ingredient.
Emergency services were called just after 6.30pm on Monday 17 February.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended in a co-ordinated multi-agency response.
Store staff provided first aid until ambulance crews arrived.
Members of the public detained a teenage boy who was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
The incident concluded by about 8.30pm and police resources cleared the scene by 9pm.
