West Midlands Police are working to swiftly deal with the incident
An incident is this afternoon affecting the 101 communications center at West Midlands Police confirm the force.
The exact nature of the incident is currently unknown, with Police saying it is experiencing some issues with answering 101 calls.
West Midlands Police have been asked for further details.
A spokesperson said earlier:
“We’re currently dealing with an incident at our main call centre, as a result we’re experiencing some issues with our ability to answer 101 calls.
We appreciate your patience while we swiftly seek to resolve this.
In an emergency call 999 as usual.”
