Officers were responding to reports of a disturbance outside a property in Bradford on Saturday morning
A man has been taken to hospital to be checked over after being hit by a police car responding to reports to a disturbance just after 9am.
The responding police car collided with the man on arrival. He was taken to hospital after suffering injuries to his hands.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said:
“Police were called to Highgate Road at 09.06 this morning to a report of an ongoing disturbance outside a property involving a male.
A police car was despatched, but on arrival it was in collision with the male.
The male suffered cuts to his hands and was taken to hospital for further assessment to see if he had sustained any other injuries.
Road closures were put in place and the circumstances of the incident are being fully investigated.”
