Road closures remain in place and motorists are asked to find alternative routes
A man has been rushed to hospital suffering from serious injuries after being struck by a Range Rover in the Islington area of Liverpool.
In a statement released today, Merseyside Police said:
“We can confirm that emergency services are in Liverpool City Centre following a serious collision this evening, Thursday 13 February.
At 7.35pm, a report was received of a collision between a Range Rover and a male pedestrian at the junction of Islington and Devon Street, close to the BP Garage. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver stopped at the scene to assist with enquiries.
Road closures are in place and we would ask that people avoid the Islington area where possible, and take an alternative route.”
