Firefighters spent almost an hour tackling the blaze on Wednesday morning
A double-decker bus burst into flames during the morning rush hour, sparking an emergency service response and congestion in the area.
The incident happened around 9am close to Deepdale Retail Park.
Motorists were diverted away from the area, and firefighters used two hose reels and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
No passengers were on board the Preston bus LTD service, and a full investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said:
“At 09:00, two fire engines from Preston attended a double-decker bus on fire on Blackpool Road, Preston.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour.”
