Three charged after knife point robbery on taxi driver in Buckshaw Village

A taxi driver was knifed in the arm during the robbery on a residential street

Three people have been charged following an investigation into the robbery of a taxi driver in Buckshaw Village.

A taxi reported being threatened, assaulted and stabbed in the arm. A cordon was put in place on Holland House Way whilst investigations into the incident got underway.

Three people were arrested following the incident on Wednesday night shortly before 10pm. They have since been charged.

In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said:

“We have charged three people after a taxi driver was attacked in Buckshaw Village.

Our officers were called at 9.49pm on Wednesday 5th February to Holland House Way, Buckshaw Village, to a report the driver had been threatened, assaulted and stabbed in the arm.

Two men, aged 37 and 45, and a woman, aged 31, were arrested nearby.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Phillip Dookie, 45, of no fixed address, Dominic Colapinto, 37, of Mayflower Crescent, Buckshaw Village, and Stacey Tickle, 31, of Holland House Way, Buckshaw Village, were charged with robbery.

Dookie was further charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife/sharp bladed article in a public place.

All three were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Magistrates Court today (7th February).”
