Mounted branch joined neighbourhood teams in Padiham
Lancashire Police are urging parents to remind their children ahead of the school holidays that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in Lancashire.
Patrols were stepped up following reports of anti-social behaviour in Padiham on Thursday evening with the mounted branch patrolling hotspot areas.
In a social media post on Thursday, Lancashire Police said:
“The Padiham Neighbourhood Policing Team were joined by our Mounted colleagues on Tuesday evening looking to tackle recent reports of anti social behaviour in and around Padiham Centre .
We interacted with a group of around 12 youths congregating outside LIDL and explained the reasons we were there/the reports of ASB in the area we had received. From this positive engagement the youths moved on with no issues reported for the evening. Can we take this opportunity to ask you to speak with your children and remind them that ASB will not be tolerated as we approach the school holidays.
We will continue to patrol on foot in Padiham and ask that any ASB is reported on 101, online or 999 if an emergency for us to deal.”
