Duo appear in court charged with Double Stabbing

The charges come following an investigation into the targeted attack on Tuesday night.

Two men have been charged following an investigation into a double stabbing in Longsight.

A 16-year-old boy and a man, 20, were seriously injured in the incident, which happened in the area of Rushford Street and Purcell Street in Longsight, Manchester, shortly before 7pm on Tuesday, 4 February.

Police say both victims of the “targeted” attack were left with serious injuries and remained in hospital in a stable condition.

Mohammed Ali Saim (30/01/2005) of Aston Avenue has been charged with a Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

Adam Benaicha (04/09/2003) of Waverton Road has also been charged with a Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

They have both been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates this morning (Friday 7 February).

The incorrect age was inputted. This has now been amended.
