He was found not guilty by a jury following a trial at Bradford Crown Court
A PCSO from West Yorkshire Police will now have his suspension reviewed alongside any misconduct proceedings following a trial at Bradford Crown Court, where he was found not guilty on several sex offence charges.
In an update posted today, West Yorkshire Police said:
“A Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has been found not guilty of a number of off-duty sexual offences.
PCSO Paul Simpkins, aged 42, who is based in Kirklees District, was found not guilty today (Wednesday, 5 February) of three counts of sexual assault following a trial at Bradford Crown Court.
PCSO Simpkins has been suspended from duty from the outset of the investigation. This will now be reviewed alongside any misconduct proceedings.”
