A Liverpool man has been jailed for making, taking, and possessing indecent photographs of children.
Mark Harrison, 63, of Sheil Road, Kensington, pleaded guilty to six charges relating to the images, which were of Cat A, B and C seriousness, a further five charges of recording images under clothing without consent (upskirting) and one charge of possessing extreme pornographic images.
He was jailed for two years when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, Monday 3 February.
Harrison was arrested after officers, in response to intelligence, executed a warrant at his home in March 2022 and seized a number of digital devices for forensic examination.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Atkinson said: “We have a duty to protect our communities from harm and to deter individuals from committing these types of horrific offences and we will continue to seek to identify and convict those who engage in this behaviour.
“I hope this sentencing encourages anyone who has been a victim of any sexual offence to please contact us. We have a specialist team ready to treat you with respect, care and compassion and make sure that reports are properly and thoroughly investigated.
“If you have experienced any form of sexual abuse, or know of a child being abused, please come forward and report this to us.
“We have a dedicated team of specially trained officers who will treat you with sensitivity and compassion and will do everything we can to bring offenders to justice.”
