Man stabbed in arm yards away from Moss Side primary school

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the arm near a primary school in Moss Side on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services descended on Adscombe Road around 2:30pm following calls from the Northwest Ambulance Service to reports of a stabbing.

A man in his 40s was located with an arm injury nearby not too far from St Mary’s C of E Primary School. He was taken to hospital for treatment with what Police describe has non life-threatening or life changing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said:

“At around 2.30pm today (Tuesday 4 February 2025), we were called by our colleagues at the North West Ambulance Service to reports of a stabbing on Adscombe Street, Moss Side.

Our officers and other emergency services arrived at the scene and located a man in his 40s with an injury to his arm.

He has been taken to hospital with an injury that is described as non-life threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and enquiries are ongoing.”
