A man has been charged following an investigation into a video being circulated online showing a man burning a Koran in Manchester city centre.

In an update released today, Greater Manchester Police said:
“Martin Frost (10/03/1977) from Trafford has been charged with causing racially and religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm, distress.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today Monday 3 February 2025.
This charge comes after we received reports of racially aggravated public order offence following an incident in the city centre at the Glade of Light memorial on Saturday 1 February.”
