Detectives in Kirklees have released CCTV images of a man who they are trying to identify following an incident involving a child in Huddersfield.
Officers would like to speak to the man in connection with an incident in the Fartown area of Huddersfield on 23 September 2024 when it is reported that a man followed a male child and kissed him.
CCTV enquiries were conducted, and the suspect was captured in footage nearby. A number of lines of enquiry have been made to identify this man via other means but at this time these have been unsuccessful, and detectives are seeking the public’s assistance.
Detective Constable Angus Whitehead, of Kirklees Child Safeguarding Unit, said: “This is a concerning incident, and I would like to reassure members of the public that we have been conducting extensive enquiries to identify this man.
“There are some pretty clear images of the suspect, and I am hopeful that there will be people who know who this man is.
“Similarly, I would urge this man himself to come forward to assist us with our enquiries.”
