The road will remain closed until at least Friday morning say Police
A man remains in hospital in a critical condition after he falls from a tree in Cheshire on Thursday morning.
In a statement released today, Cheshire Police said:
“At 8.55am on Thursday 30 January police were called to reports that a man had fallen from a tree on the A556, Chester Road, Northwich.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the man was taken to the Salford Royal Hospital. His condition is currently described as critical but stable.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and the A556 is closed eastbound between Norley Road and Whitegate Lane.
The closure will remain in place until at least tomorrow morning (Friday 31 January) while investigations remain ongoing.
Diversions are in place and motorists are urged to allow extra time for their journeys.”
