This follows an extensive investigation following the man’s death back in 2023
A man has been charged with murder following an investigation into the death of Philip Quinn who died as a result of an assault in St Helens back in 2023.
In an update posted today, Merseyside Police said:
“Detectives investigating the death of Philip Quinn in St Helens in 2023 have charged a man with murder.
Philip, 54, sadly died in hospital on Wednesday 23 August 2023 after he was assaulted in the early hours of Tuesday 22 August 2023 in Brookhouse Grove, Eccleston.
David Lyons, 43, of Brookhouse Grove, Eccleston, has now been charged with Murder. Lyons will next appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Thursday 6 February.”
