A huge haul of class A drugs with an estimated value of £3.2 million pounds found at a property in Greater Manchester has led to two men being arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

In a statement released today, Greater Manchester Police said:

“Two members of a suspected organised crime group have been arrested this morning as police executed a warrant in Prestwich and discovered 70kg of cocaine.

The class A drugs, which have an estimated wholesale value of £3.2 million, were recovered from within the address.

Two men, aged 45 and 79, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. They are in custody awaiting interview.

Detective Inspector Rick Castley from our Serious Organised Crime Group said: “This was a huge haul of cocaine which will have undoubtedly made its way onto the streets of Manchester and further afield, causing untold misery, had we not intervened.

“This activity and seizure will have thwarted the intentions of those involved and actively disrupted their operation.”
