A 15-year-old from Blackpool and a 17-year-old from Preston were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning
Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of various offences after officers received reports of males wearing balaclavas trying car door handles in Warton.
In a social media update posted today, Lancashire Police said:
“In the early hours of this morning we received a call of two males in balaclavas on bikes trying car door handles in the Warton area.
Fylde Rural Task Force made to the area and swiftly located two males nearby matching the descriptions.
The males were searched and found in possession of numerous bank cards in different names along with other items suspected to be stolen.
The males were arrested on suspicion of interference with a motor vehicle.
The team carried out CCTV enquiries and as a result the males were further arrested for theft from a motor vehicle and fraud by false representation.
A 15 year old male from Blackpool and a 17 year old male from Preston have been released on bail pending CPS advice.
