Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes
A major road is closed this evening due to a road traffic collision.
The A6 Garstang Road close to Barton Grange has been closed in both directions whilst emergency services attend the collision.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
The road is expected to be closed for some time Southbound and Northbound.
In a social media post, Lancashire Police said:
“Good Evening, we are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A6 near to Barton Grange.
As a result both Northbound and Southbound carriageways are closed.
We expect the road to be closed for some time so please find an alternative route. We will provide an update when we can.”
