An investigation is underway in Preston after officers discovered a cannabis farm at a property in the city centre.

In a post made today, Lancashire Police said:

“We are investigating following the discovery of a cannabis farm in Preston.

We were called to Moor Hall Street in the early hours of this morning (Friday, 17th January 2025)  following reports of a burglary.

It was reported four men had entered a property after smashing through the door before leaving in a White Transit Van which was later found abandoned on Lightfoot Lane with eight bags of cannabis plants on board.

When we entered the property, officers found over 100 plants across two rooms and the attic, which have all been seized.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
