In a statement released today, Lancashire Police said:

“Stuart GRAHAM, 36, of Branch Road Burnley has been charged with Arson Endangering Life, Criminal Damage and Threats to Damage/ Destroy property after Team 4 responded to reports that GRAHAM had made several threats to burn a building down, damage a persons property and make several other threats to other persons. A short time later, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service notified us of a fire at a building on Bethesda Street, and officers from Team 4 identified GRAHAM from CCTV, where he was seen deliberately setting fire to a number of items in the communal area of a block of flats.

GRAHAM was arrested a short time later after officers from Team 4 quickly established his location. His actions put the lives of several innocent members of the public at risk, while they were asleep, with no regard for their safety.
