The road is expected to be closed for a short while
A road closure is in place in Blackburn this afternoon with motorists asked to find alternative routes.
This is due to a road traffic collision on Preston New Road.
In a social media post, Lancashire Police said:
“We want to update you and let you know that Preston New Road up to Eanam in Blackburn is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.
We anticipate that the road will be closed for a short amount of time, whilst we clear the road.
In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route or avoiding the area and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.
We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and we’ll update you here once the road is open.”
