All lanes reopened on M65 following earlier collision with 20 minute delays expected

All lanes are now reopened on the M65 following an earlier collision

The M65 has now reopened following a collision that forced a lane closure close to Blackburn this afternoon.

Lanes one between junction 5 and junction 6 was closed for short time whilst recovery took place.

Delays of upto twenty minutes are expected as traffic starts moving again.

Posting on X, The National Highways said:

“All lanes have reopened on the #M65 eastbound between J5 and J6 near #Blackburn following a collision.

20 minute delays above normal travel time remain following this incident.

Please allow time for delays to clear.”
