Man Charged with attempted murders following triple New Years Eve stabbings

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a triple stabbing on New Years Eve in Birmingham.

In an update released today, West Midlands Police said:

A man has been charged with attempted murder after two women and a man were stabbed in Birmingham on New Year’s Eve (31 Dec).

Earl Johnson, aged 65, has been charged with three counts of attempt murder and two counts of possession of a knife.

Johnson from Birmingham is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

This comes after two women, aged 18 and 20 and a 25-year-old man were attacked on Doncaster Way, Hodge Hill.

The 20-year-old woman remains in a serious condition in hospital.
