The suspect who is believed to be known to the victims remains in custody
A man aged 64 has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a triple stabbing in Birmingham in New Years Eve.
In a statement released today, West Midlands Police said:
“We’ve arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after two women and a man were stabbed in Birmingham last night.
We were called to Doncaster Way in Hodge Hill just before 9pm.
Two women aged 18 and 20 were attacked, along with a 25-year-old man.
The 20-year-old woman remains in hospital with injuries which are serious but not life-threatening.
The other two victims have since been released from hospital.
The suspect, who is believed to have been known to the victims, remains in custody.”
Det Insp Tom Lyons, from our Major Crime Unit, said: “We have officers at the scene today speaking to witnesses and recovering CCTV and would appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”
