He will now have to explain his actions in court

A man has been summoned to court after being clocked travelling at 117mph through Greater Manchester.

North West Motorway Police spotted the vehicle travelling at high speed on the M60 near Stockport on Friday, and when they stopped the vehicle, the driver said they were rushing to get to IKEA despite the roads having poor visibility due to fog.

In a post on social media, NE Motorway Police said:

“Driver of this Audi was sighted by GMP motorway patrol on M60 at Stockport driving at 117mph  in extremely poor visibility due to fog.

Driver stated he was rushing to get to IKEA.

Not a good enough or valid reason, He will now have his day in Court to explain his actions.
