17-year-old pleads guilty to sexually assaulting jogger bailed with strict conditions

A 17-year-old male has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a female jogger.

In an update released today, Merseyside Police said:

“A male charged with the sexual assault of a woman in Oxton has pleaded guilty.

The 17-year-old male from Prenton appeared at Merseyside Youth Remand Court yesterday Tuesday 24 December. He pleaded guilty and will next appear on Tuesday 4 February. He has been conditionally bailed with strict conditions including an electronic tag and curfew.

The charge followed a report that a woman was sexually assaulted while out jogging in Oxton on Sunday 22 December.”
