17-year-old Male Charged With Sexually Assaulting Jogger

Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a woman who was out jogging in Prenton on Sunday morning have charged a teenager.

In an update released today, Merseyside Police said:

“We have charged a 17-year-old male from Wirral with sexual assault.

The charge follows a report that a woman was sexually assaulted while out jogging in Prenton on Sunday 22 December.

The 17-year-old from Prenton was remanded in custody to appear at Merseyside Youth Remand Court today, Tuesday 24 December.”
