Offenders made off on foot after dumping the quad in remote location in Bradford in the early hours of Sunday morning

A quad bike stolen from a farm in Lancashire has been recovered following a pursuit by Lancashire Police’s Rural Taskforce Officers.

The cross-border pursuit began in the early hours of Sunday morning when police were responding to reports of a burglary by a Shawforth Farmer.

The offenders headed into a heavily wooded remote location and left the quad, making off on foot in the Bradford area.

In an update posted to social media, Lancashire Police said:

“In the early hours of Sunday 22nd December, your Rossendale Rural Task Force have responded to a very recent report from a Shawforth Farmer stating that he had just been burgled and had his quadbike stolen. RTF officers have pursued the stolen quadbike into Bradford, West Yorkshire where it had been taken off-road into a heavily wooded and remote location.

RTF have then managed to locate the stolen quadbike with the offenders having made off on foot. Enquiries are very much still on going and we will do all we can to trace the offenders.”
