Police Hunt Suspects After Woman In Her 70s Has £2000 Stolen From Hamdbag In Preston

Police are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a theft that involved £2000 being stolen from a woman in her 70s handbag.

The theft is alleged to have taken place in the mcdonalds restaurant inside the friargate centre in Preston City Centre on the 23rd October.

In an appeal made today, Lancashire Police said:

“Do you recognise these women?

We want to speak to them after a pensioner had £2000 stolen from her handbag in Preston.

We received a report that a woman in her 70s had an envelope containing £2000 stolen from her handbag whilst in McDonalds in Friargate on 23rd October, at around 3:15pm.

If you know them, or if you have any information or recognise the women in the images, please get in contact.
