Drivers are urged to drive to the conditions of the road as low temperatures cause disruption on Lancashires Roads
Two cars collided this evening with one man taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Lancashire Police are urging drivers to take extra caution on the roads as freezing temperatures cause disruption to motorists.
A collision happened in the Thornley area. According to Lancashire Police a passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Blackburn Hospital by North West Ambulance Service for treatment. A driver was issued with a traffic offence report following the collision.
In a social media post, Lancashire Police said:
“Team 4 Ribble Valley Response have attended a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision the Thornley Area. The passenger of one of the vehicles has sustained minor injuries from the collision and has been transported to Royal Blackburn for further treatment.
Please drive to the conditions of the roads especially with the temperatures dropping into the low degrees.
One driver has been issued a traffic offence report as a result of the collision.”
