Crash investigation work is being carried out and a road closure remains in place
A Haslingden Road remains closed this morning due to a collision overnight.
Grane Road in Haslingden between Junction 5 on the M65 and Junction with Holcombe Road has been closed since before midnight.
Emergency service attended the scene of a collision. The nature of the collision is currently unknown.
Lancashire Police have been approached for more information.
In a social media post made earlier, Hyndburn Police said:
“Please be advised Grane Road, Haslingdon is currently closed between J5 on the M65 and the junction with Holcombe Road due to a road traffic collision.
We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time whilst we make sure the road is safe.
We’ll update you here once the road is open. Thank you for your patience and stay safe.
AA Live Travel said: “The incident was first reported around 10:30pm on Monday night.
Road closed, crash Investigation Work.
Road closed due to crash investigation work on B6232 Elton Road both ways from B6235 Holcombe Road (Holden Arms) to Jackson Heights Road.”
