Grane Road remains closed following a multi-vehicle crash

The road remains closed due to adverse weather conditions confirm police

A Haslingden Road remains closed this morning due to a collision overnight.

Grane Road in Haslingden between Junction 5 on the M65 and Junction with Holcombe Road has been closed since before midnight.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly before 11pm to reports of a multi-vehicle collision.

The collision involved four vehicles, and one man was taken to hospital for treatment confirm the force.

In a social media post made earlier, Hyndburn Police said:

“Please be advised Grane Road, Haslingdon is currently closed between J5 on the M65 and the junction with Holcombe Road due to a road traffic collision.

We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time whilst we make sure the road is safe.

We’ll update you here once the road is open. Thank you for your patience and stay safe.

AA Live Travel said: “The incident was first reported around 10:30pm on Monday night.

Road closed, crash Investigation Work.

Road closed due to crash investigation work on B6232 Elton Road both ways from B6235 Holcombe Road (Holden Arms) to Jackson Heights Road.”

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:

“It’s a four-vehicle RTC. It came into us at 10.29pm yesterday. One man has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road remains closed due to the adverse driving conditions.”
