The driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken into custody

A driver who failed a roadside breath test had a lucky escape after overturning his car on a Ribble Valley road.

In a social media post, Lancashire Police said:

We often give advice on driving in the Ribble Valley particularly with the foggy weather we are experiencing at the moment.

“Drive to the conditions”

“Dont drink and drive”

“Unfortunately it appears the driver of this vehicle failed to heed either of those warnings hence the upside down car.

Team 2 Response attended this incident and detained the driver at scene where he failed a roadise breath test. The driver has been arrested and will be dealt with at custody in due course.

Fortunately on this occasion luck was on the drivers side and no-one was killed or seriously injured.

Think of others, don’t drink and drive!!
