Cordons around the site remain in place on Friday

A No Fly Zone has been put into place around the building that caught fire in Preston City Centre on Tuesday night.

A cordon remains in place on Church Street and surrounding streets as search efforts continue amongst the rubble left after a blaze tore through the derelict building earlier this week.

In a statement released today, Lancashire Police said:

A no-fly zone is currently in operation following a fire at a property in Church Street, Preston.

Restrictions on the flying of drones have been put in place from 2pm today (Friday, November 15) and will continue until further notice to ensure the safety of those working on the emergency response. While the restrictions are in place, no drones may be flown within the restricted airspace (pictured).

No uncrewed aircraft is to fly below 1,000ft above mean sea level. Further details can be found on the drone safety map: https://orlo.uk/iG4wy
