Man Charged Following Preston Cannabis Farm Discovery

A man has been charged following the discovery of a cannabis farm in Preston.

Officers came across the discovery at a property in St James Road after receiving community intelligence.

139 plants were found in various stages of growth, which were found growing across two bedrooms. The electricity had also been bypassed.

In a statement released today, Lancashire Police said:

“We have charged a man with drugs offences after a cannabis farm was discovered in Preston.

On Saturday, 9th November, 2024, following community intelligence, officers from Preston’s Task Force entered the property on St James Road.

Once inside, it was discovered that 139 cannabis plants, at varying stages of growth, were growing across two bedrooms and the attic space.

The electricity had also been bypassed and Electricity North West attended the make the area safe.

A 30 year old man was arrested at the scene.

We can now tell you that Egzon Deda, 30, of St James Road, Preston has been charged with cannabis cultivation and will appear before Preston Magistrates Court today.”
